RF forward small (1) LF forward big (2) rock RF (3) LF back small (5) RF back big (6) rock LF (7)
When moving forward/backward, the steps should be approximately in a line, meaning at the forwardmost step the foot should be roughly centered with the center of the body, and the same for the rearmost step. Having steps in a line is also meant to help with hip movement. However, the feet should be moved almost in straight lines and not in half-circles around the body (this is why the steps are approximately, but not exactly, in a line).
Back Step / Back Rock Step / Back Basic
LF back, right of RF's track & rotate L 60d (1) rock RF (2) LF together & face forward (3) RF back, left of LF's track & rotate R 60d (5) rock LF (6) RF together & face forward (7)
Same steps in On1 and On2.
Side Basic / Side Step
(half basic:) LF back small (1) RF back big (2) rock LF (3) (turn:) RF forward small (5) LF forward big facing 90d R & rotate R 120d (6) RF in place facing 210d R from original direction & rotate R 240d (7) (into basic:) LF just back of RF (1) RF back big (2) rock LF (3) (finish basic:) RF forward small (5) LF forward big (6) rock RF (7)
Follower's steps are the middle half. Leader's right turn starts on 5 count, follower's right turn starts on 1 count.
(turn:) RF forward small (Q) LF forward big facing 90d R & rotate R 180d (Q) spin on R, weight on R, bring LF together (S)
The difference between the turn and the spin is in the turn both feet are contributing to the momentum whereas in the spin it's almost entirely the left foot.
The spin starts on the 3 count. The forward step on 1 count should be straight forward, the RF step on 2 count sets up the spin by rotating the body into it, then the spin itself begins on the 3 count.
Follower's UAT Right
Leader's footwork is the same as in basic.
On 1 count, raise LH. On 2 count, stir the pot with LH to rotate follower right 360d. Drop LH on 4 count I think.
Follower's UAT always starts on the leader's back step.
Follower's UAT Right with RH Lead
Same as the standard follower's UAT right except the lead is with leader's RH rather than LH. This can be done instead of the standard UAT from double hand hold or when leader is only connected to follower via leader's RH/follower's LH.
On 1 count, leader raises RH to lead the turn except the motion is diagonal up and left rather than vertically up.
Follower's UAT Right into Leader's UAT Right
Starting with follower's UAT right with RH lead, on 4 count leader maintains his RH up and on 5-7 counts executes his right turn under his RH.
Back Hand Change
This is a right turn executed by the leader. Footwork is the same as for right turn.
(turn:) RF forward small (1) LF forward big facing 90d R & rotate R 60d (2) hold follower's RH with LH while turning; when leader's back is to follower, switch folllower's RH from leader's LH to RH RF in place facing 210d R from original direction & rotate R 120d (3) into second half of basic switch follower's RH from leader's RH to LH during 5-6-7 counts
Back Hand Change into UAT
Leader raises LH on the 1 count, this means the LH raise must start when the leader's back is still toward the follower - on 8 count of the back hand change.
Back Hand Change into Double Hand Turn
Same as back hand change into UAT, except on the 8 count of back hand change leader, as he is raising RH, asks for follower's LH with leader's LH under his RH. The follower then turns while connected with both hands to the leader.
Solo Left Turn
In On2 the turn starts on the 6/7 count.
(basic:) LF back small (1) RF back big (2) rock LF (3) RF forward small (5) LF forward big & wind right (6) rock RF & rotate L 180d (7) LF forward (1) RF forward & rotate L 180d (2) LF in place (3) (into second half of basic:) RF forward small (5) LF forward big (6) rock RF (7)
Rotation left begins on the 7 count of the basic. This allows the 1 count of the turn to be performed forward while facing backward from the initial direciton. Rotation can be assisted by winding right on the 6 count of the basic, which means twisting hips right about 45d which makes the torso assume the same 45d wind.
RF forward small (1) LF forward big & wind right (2) rock RF & rotate L 180d (3) LF forward (5) RF forward & rotate L 180d (6) LF in place (7)
Leader's Left Turn
(This is the solo left turn executed with a partner.)
Footwork is the same as in a solo left turn.
Leader raises LH on 7 count, goes under his arm while turning left.
Follower's Left Turn
Leader's footwork is same as in basic.
Leader winds follower right on 2 count and leads the turn by raising LH up and diagonally toward leader's right shoulder on 3 count.
If preceding step is a basic, leader can give the follower a smaller wind right on the preceding 6 count.
Combo: follower's left turn into leader's left turn.
3 O'Clock Turn
Solo Back Breaks
LF together (1) RF back behind LF on LF's track (2) rock LF (3) RF together (5) LF back behind RF on RF's track (6) rock RF (7)
(first half of basic:) LF back small (1) RF back big (2) rock LF (3) RF together (5) LF back behind RF on RF's track (6) rock RF (7)
On the 6 count, left hip is forward, torso is rotated left 30d-45d. No more than 45d. Left shoulder is toward the follower.
LH at chest height (up from waist height for basic/open hold).
Leader's arm styling: RH on right hip for the 6-7 counts.
Follower's footwork is identical to basic.
Follower's arm styling; right arm stretched out and back slightly, RH about shoulder height, for the 6-7 counts.
Open Break into Follower's UAT Right
Leader does open break, then on 6 or 7 count brings RH to face height with palm toward follower, RH and right elbow same height (right arm is horizontal). RH must be in position in front of follower on 7 count.
Follower connects with leader's RH with follower's LH. Follower's left elbow is down, left arm is vertical.
Leader then stirs the pot CW with RH to initiate follower's right UAT.
Cross Body Lead with 3 O'Clock Turn
(basic into:) rotate L 90d & LF back (follower starts to pass R to L) (1) RF back small (2) rock LF (3) RF forward (5) LF forward & rotate R 180d (6) RF in place & rotate R 90d (7) (face partner, ready to go into basic)
There is a total of 270 degrees of direction change in the second half of the figure, as a result some of the rotation may spill into the 8 count or the 1 count of the following basic/figure.
